What do you mean? It fits Destiny perfectly; they already gave us Sparrow Racing, a completely different gameplay experience from the normal FPS gameplay, and it was awesome. Space combat could be the PvE alternative to Sparrow Racing- we already have the ships, we just need to be able to equip them with weapons and have some new play spaces to use them... like Air Patrol missions. Air/Space combat in Destiny could be based off the open missions in Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. In fact, the open levels in Crimson Skies' campaign were just like the Patrol missions we have in Destiny, patrol beacons and all. Also, one of Bungie's gameplay designers, Sage Merrill (the guy with the Viking beard) actually worked on Crimson Skies, and helped Bungie create the space mission in Halo: Reach.

When you put it like that it doesn't seem so weird.

Lmao, sparrow racing was a lame attempt to keep players engaged. Sparrow racing was a joke and I'm glad it was only temporary.

I would much prefer to have ship racing and then spend silver on faster ships.
