How many Warlocks still love Voidwalker?
I'm just curious~ I main a Warlock, but I always like to use void walker instead of Self Res or Storm caller in the Crucible.
I know Warlocks have been getting a lot of shit lately over self res and some aspects of storm caller so who here still enjoys Voidwalker?
Edit: Glad to see a lot of other people enjoy Voidwalker as much as I do haha

I still prefer using Voidwalker over the other two. I honestly hate Stormcaller. For some weird reason, I have real problems using the force lightning.

I enjoy going back to Voidwalker occasionally just to watch everything explode.

I usually use on Patrol or in PvP. In Strikes and Raids, I tend to use Stormcaller just because of the ad clearing potential.

main all three sub classes dependent on situation, but the main of mains will ALWAYS be the walking the mystery and power of the void.

1 ReplyI love it, but Blink and Nothing Manacles wered nerfed way too hard. It makes Voidwalker not even fun to use.

stormcaller is good for racking the kills up but theres just something unexplainably awesome about being able to throw a purple super hadouken at someone

I use it on strikes mostly. The NovaBomb is really useful for taking out trash mobs.

Not my main subclass, but I still use it from time to time. I guess the same applies to the other two...

My second character I play is void warlock. I loves me some double scatter grenades.

Good for control and securing heavy ammo. Pretty meh elsewhere

Edited by Swiftlock: 3/2/2016 12:49:35 AMVoidwalker is good for clutch PvP plays and crowd control via AoE burst damage, but the lackluster melee and subpar defensive capabilities make it a hard sell for me when Sunsinger brings so much more to the table in its neutral game. I think the Voidwalker is a very fair and fun class, which is its biggest weakness in a competitive environment where you need to be as ruthless as humanly possible to have the most solid chances at reaping the best prizes thanks to the awful reward system. It also doesn't help that Nova Bomb does a notably worse job at crowd control than Stormtrance in endgame PvE while struggling to deal meaningful damage to the toughest majors and bosses.

I use my Voidwalker exclusively in both PVe and PvP, ever since I saw someone absolutely tearing up the Omnigal strike with Bad Juju & Obsidian Mind.

I started this past IB with Stormcaller and then Sunsinger, but finished it up doing mostly Voidwalker because I was doing a lot better with it than the other two sub-classes. I was getting killed quickly with Stormtrance and would only get a rare multi-kill, so I gave up on it (worked much better on the Control or Rift IB since people were grouped up more often). Then, Sunsinger didn't work out too well because I just don't know how to do well with Radiant Skin (and do worse when using Fireborn in 6v6). Did best with Voidwalker even though most of the time my Nova Bomb was used to kill a single enemy that was using a roaming super or had heavy ammo (though, did get some 3+ kills at the heavy spawn).

I still run voidwalker now and then. I actually was able to blink Jump the raid ship jumping puzzle by also using sword and nova bomb to gain extra distance and height.
