I originally created a backstory for my character and tried to immerse myself into the game. Nope, it was to repetitive and shallow. And the loot grind made it impossible to play one character. I started alts to help with the loot grind completely ruining any role playing that I was enjoying for the first couple days.

The game has been marketed as a fully immersive mmoRPG with a minimal rpg existence. The trailers alone made me think that there would be so much more to it. Me and my fireteam would not be able to stop talking about theories on lore or background....and yest there is little to none of this. I know there are podcasts that seriously get into the grimore, but not all players can devote much more time than what they have to play.

I read maybe 10 cards before I gave up on it. It seemed very random and out of order. Could be im missing something.

Possibly a new interactive system is needed for the cards. They are a really amazing idea that Bungie has only yet begun to delve into.
