Who said there ghost has to be destroyed? The ghost is not an guardians life force, it's just an backup for if the guardian dies Unless your saying to kill the ghost then the guardian (so the guardian stays dead)

I meant you knock out the guardian then capture or destroy the ghost then kill the guardian.
