Being able to explore the last safe city, and interact with citizens that could give you quests and also sell you things.

A Tower/City invasion hoards of fallen and hive drop from the sky, the tower defense cannons going off guardians and civilians scattering absolute mayhem. The vanguard and factions deploy fire teams and help coordinate attacks then a blast of light from the traveler vaporizing all enemies cliffhanger to the sequel (travelers awakening) its glorious!
