Thorn is op or not
Edit: I made a normal poll to see opinion of community. Totally forgot about how many 12 year old salty turds exist here. Without reading anything, they are telling me go to year 1 and other crap.
I am year 1. I have 2300+ hours in game. Have 7000 kills with thorn in year 1.
All of you turds who are telling me how it was op, this poll is not saying what was op year 1 or year 2.
Compare thorn in year 2 with other exotic weapons like red death, suros, boolean gemini.
Why I think thorn is op.
3 shot body shot with fastest fire rate hand cannon. Which usually is 4-5
Tracks enemy.
Stop recovery for 7 effing seconds
All of you who are telling me you can counter it, for sure you can counter it. Problem is, most probably it will still kill you if other person is even half decent.
Please post your honest opinion. Now by honest I mean honest.
If you use it and like it, it's good but that won't change the fact that it's not op.

With Life Support and other perks and the overall reduced burn damage i don't think it's OP. My hunter ran through countless Iron Banners with Thorn (not my main, but sorry all the same) and it was much stronger in year one. If you want to compare it to year two weapons then it is a strong option considering it's unique perk, but it fills a role along with TLW and to a lesser degree Hawkmoon in mid to close distance. It will lose at range to any pulse or scout rifle with a competent user. Ultimately it has already been nerfed down for damage. With the re-adjustment to hand cannon ranges it isn't useless and that's why more people are using it. When you kill someone using it drop a bag if you are so inclined, remind them that no one likes them right now. ;)

Shit is op, they nerfed hawkmoon so I don't see why this weapon hasn't been nerfed yet. As if they don't have have enough evidence this gun is like the best weapon in the game.

3 RepliesThat's why it's exotic. It's exotic perk is damage over time. Why are people always bitching and complaining about it's exotic perk? Like honestly just deal with it, yes it's effective again but like let's compare to a more used exotic in pvp like mida. You don't see anyone complaining about the mida when playing in a 3v3 match I will see the mida 6x more often than thorn. If someone is using it let them use it and not put them down for it, maybe they're throwing it back to year one in the good ole days before bungie -blam!-ed us all over

Played Destiny again for the first time in ages because I wanted that Ghost shell. I ran into a Thorn user and a MIDA user and my Suros DIS 43 destroyed them. If my rusty as hell ass can deal with them I'm sure it's not op. Annoying yes, but not op.

[/quote] Not a flame on the OP, but let's all make notice that he highlight guns that have about a 5% usage in PvP and not guns like TLW/Mida/Monte Carlo/Bad JuJu that have much high usage rates.
