How about a Trials of Osiris overhaul.
I like Trials of Osiris and I've been to the lighthouse a few times but ultimately, I think it is the wrong direction for destiny. So, I'm posting a suggestion in which I think an open mind should be kept when reading. We all aware that trials is a crucible style event fraught with lagging issues, lag switchers, glitchers, and people who pander stream viewership or payment for guaranteed flawless carries. Than, add in a social area not accesdible unless you get a flawless card. You put all this into a nutshell and you have a segment of the games content that 90% or more players will never see or flat out won't bother trying.
Now, I know crucible is intended to be the games end game but I don't think it should be the only end game. So I think to myself, why not a solo end game event? After all, we are supposed to be guardians fighting evil, not just each other.
My suggestion here is to change Trials of Osiris to a single player, raid style event instead of the current 3 person cheat fest. Plus, open the lighthouse to everyone, all the time and station brother Vance there. Add some story line missions coinciding with Osiris's life which prepares the gamer for the single players Trials event. This event could be something along the lines of a raid mission with several stages and bosses fighting what Osiris was fighting. Add gate choices to get through. This event could be changed weekly and could incorporate the hunt for Osiris in the end. If you can find him, he gives you a key to the chest room at the light house for armor bits and a random weapon part such as a frame, firing mechanism, barrel etc. Plus, add Osiris gun Smith at the light house that these parts can be taken to to build a weapon using the parts of the players choosing. This will make event completion far more prestigious since you get a weapon you made instead of the lousy weapons line in the current trials armory.
Modifying the event as such will end all the problems associated with crucible style trials.
