By that I meant these indie games that always use these unoriginal retro graphic styles and the people who play them think they are so special for playing an unknown game even though it's totally "mainstream"
Can't really blame the games for what the fanbase does. Both FNaF (the original, before it got four sequels) and Undertale were enjoyable games, for sure, especially for their price, but their respective fanbases hype the crap out of them and push them all over the place.
