I have thought that the RNG system was frustrating from the beginning. I've played since early year 1 and my friend, who started >1 month ago, is already nearing my light.
The level of a player should be based around 2 things:
1. Skill of the player. I can't stand seeing a near-max level player that is only winning due to their power, not their skill.
2. Time played. The fact that my friend can roll 310 gear on his first time in ToO is quite upsetting knowing that I worked to get gear like that.
The RNG system makes levels an unfair representation of a player's ability.
Please, Bungie, I've never heard anyone say they like the RNG leveling system. It's time to revamp.
