Nerfs
Yes, I know, I'm whining about guns that some may think don't need to be tweaked. However, I think it's fair to say that these guns are certainly dominate and have some of the highest TTK in Destiny in the current meta. Anyway, without further ado, here are my suggestions.
Also, if you don't want to listen about nerfs then please don't continue reading, as this may aggravate some in ways I do not intend to. Otherwise, enjoy...
With the highest TTK, it is certainly a gun that is on the high end of the tier. It's damage is surprisingly large, especially at close range! The recent patch has certainly proved to been effective, and I can't say it was nerfed effectively. But... It does need a tone back.
Hip fire is too inconsistent to be viable in PvP should you choose to utilise it consistently, especially as it is a three hit headshot (unless you use ACB, but why would you as it destroys the stats). ADS is also a three hit kill and is X10 more consistent with the sight, not to mention the fact that it bumps up the range and accuracy tremendously. Therefore, ADS should not deal so much damage - TLW orients it's perks around hip fire, but why you'd hip fire if you can be more accurate and have the same TTK I don't know. Bump down the damage down to maybe a four hit headshot or three hit body shot while ADS. Do not edit hip fire at all other than maybe making it a little bit more consistent as it is somewhat unreliable at the moment. Now, onto... THORN!
Thorn
Nerfed in the current patches, it certainly had some changes. The two hit headshot what certainly obnoxious back in Year One, but those days are thankfully over. However, it is slightly a little too powerful. Debatable, but in my opinion, I think it's still to powerful, especially when people still use Thorn in Year 2 Trials.
The range is one issue. It's ability to still challenge scout rifles should not be an issue, but it is. Hand cannons are supposed to be closed range, not the range competent to beat scout rifles. But that isn't the biggest change I'd like to protest for.
Everybody hates the green goo on your screen, and the DoT that bleeds you to death. Therefore, to make Thorn more skilful, the DoT should not occur unless headshots are hit with the Thorn. The damage stays the same. Then, it is viable should you be consistent with it.
Hope you enjoyed it. I understand it was a bit of a rant, but I think it was for a good cause. Before you say I don't play PvP a lot, think again. I orient around PvP, and as TLW and Thorn are the dominant weapons in PvP, toning them back would certainly be a pleasure as new weapons are recognised.

I disagree with you. Instead of nerf, I say buff. Last word absolutely destroys in the Crucible. That's why you have mida to counter. Last word is useless for long range encounters. Thorn is beatable with fusion rifles preferably plan c or any other good one or even a good auto or pulse rifle. Snipers needs fellow snipers or mida depending on how good the Sniper is. I have been on teams that let a Sniper keep getting kills. If I see a Sniper my sole purpose is to out flank him and keep killing until he or she gets p*ssed and changes to a different special. A lot of players fail to recall the name of the guardian that killed them. Look at the name of the guardian, how did he or she take you down, avoid those areas. I'm not a freak PVP player but that's my thought.

The range dominates in the hand cannon meta, and the DoT is definitely obnoxious. It's a three hit headshot and a three hit body shot, so why you'd aim for the head is beyond belief. The competitive side use it because it is OP. They aren't going to use answering chord, or black spindle because they don't dominate and see balanced. Thorn and TLW both need a little adjusting so sweaties aren't just: - Party Crasher - Thorn - The Last Word - 1000 Yard Stare - Warlock SunSinger Those are the dominate loadouts. And, not saying I know everything, but there are hundreds more guns which people don't EVEN know about! Nobody uses a gun which can hit off a revive, which limits to 1000 Yard Stare. Nobody can get a faster TTK than TLW, so TLW dominates. 1000 Yard Stare and TLW are the meta know alongside shotguns and thorn. Ask yourself, who uses Defiance Of Yasmin competitively with the answering chord? Nobody because they are balanced and Thorn and TLW are not. I don't mean to sound snappy, but it is something I'd like to address as I play PvP a lot and I'm not one who doesn't consider how Destiny could develop.

They are exotics for a reason! Most Y1 exotics were awesome...then they all got nerfed. That's the point of the game, be the best with the best armor and weapons. If you want a certain gun you grind to get it and then enjoy the fuk out of it...

Just some exotics are slightly more dominant than others, that's all. Who uses Plan C competitively? Who uses Zhalo Supercell competitively or The Fourth Horseman? It's because a certain exotic is too powerful that some exotics just aren't worth the grind.
