Set Items (Armor)
While raid gear is already a sort of "set" intrinsically speaking, I would like to see this expand towards normal Destiny activities as well. A set for Crucible and/or Stirkes could be an interesting addition. Functionally speaking, there would be 3 total bonuses from equipping set items:
1) 2-piece bonus
2) 3-piece bonus
3) Full Set bonus (in order to achieve this you cannot wear an exotic in any armor slot).
Above is an example, although the bonuses should probably not be as drastic as illustrated in this picture, for the sake of balance of course. However, maybe the bonuses could be as follows:
1) 2-set bonus: double your melee attack speed
2) 3-set bonus: reduce damage by 15% from all elemental sources (PvE only)
3) 4-set bonus (remember, not exotic armor is equipped): All weapons can be drawn and reloaded at great speeds.
The set idea could be expanded to include weapons, which could offer even more creative builds, etc.
Edit: I'll add another example, just to get the creative juices flowing. Naturally and for the sake of balance, some set bonuses or sets should only be applicable in PvE.
Support Class Set:
1) 2-set: produce an additional orb for every 4 orbs you create (total cap is 10 orbs)
2) 3-set: orbs you pickup heal a portion of your teams total HP (1 orb = 50 hp, divided across the entire party)
3) 4-set: orb heals are more effective and shield your party from damage for 10 seconds (1 orb = 100 hp, divided across the party. The first orb you pickup procs the shield)
Melee Set
1) 2-set: melee attack speed is greatly increased and recharges faster
2) 3-set: melee attacks slow enemy movement and attack speeds
3) 4-set: melee attacks now hit multiple targets in a given range. Enemies slowed by your melee are debuffed to take 15% more damage.

Edited by ThisMahSwamp: 1/18/2016 8:50:21 PMI wouldn't call it OP per se. There are other classes and other sets that are similar from a damage standpoint. This one is one of the easier ones to gear towards.

I just love having all my minions and having other gear as well that raises their damage even further but yes I've seen quite a few barb builds that are uterly ridiculous.
