Eh, personally i prefer it how it is. I'd hate running raids and trials with randoms where communication isnt a given and skill is a completely unknown variable. There's things like LFG aka the recruitment forums to help out people with either no one online or people who don't have people on their friends list. To compromise, they should provide an option to go into match making as opposed to making it a given for everything.
