I mean if Destiny 2 was a completely new game and we lost our characters I'm not sure how I would feel. I wonder what would happen though if bungie just completely overhauled the story. I just really want the story to be as epic as the world around us looks.

I doubt it will be a different game. They have said since the beginning your characters will carry over to the next game, then again, it could just be your race/gender/face/stats that do.
