Well.. To be fair, destiny is built around addiction and relies on it to keep its player base. Halo and other games aren't. I'm trying to quit playing destiny altogether but still keep getting back on to chase some good guns even though they'll soon be obsolete.

Edited by jhowle9475: 1/4/2016 11:07:53 PMI disagree. All games are designed around extended playability. This is what makes destiny playable beyond the story line. I have read where folks talk about this addiction detail, but no one has taken a hard look at themsleves. Is it the spoons fault a fat man is fat? Is it a guns fault that someone pulled its trigger and killed someone? Now, I can see how the continuous grind can be construed as addictive game play but let's be real here. The reason why some people gain a so called addiction is more or less because of their own lack of desire to stop. Truth is, the group of people who could honestly say they are addicted is likely 1 in 10000 players or less. Far too small to make up what you call it's actual fan base.
