Maybe someone who barely goes over 1.0 but never plays the objective can be shot down but a 4.0+ is clearly just good

Saying kdr doesn't matter is just a sad excuse for your bad kdr. Sure, kdr doesn't mean everything but it's still very crucial on showing how you play. (When I mean crucial, I mean that kdr shows almost entirely how you play).

You must care a lot by the way you're talking. Sounds like you got into plenty of skill arguments and the first thing they came at was your kd, which is why you're so emotional about it
