Brilliant as usual, sir.
On a more serious note... if Bungie ends up nerfing Mida, I may have to give up on this game. I've rolled with the punches through all the balancing, re-balancing, and re-re-balancing. I've very rarely complained about anything, because the changes just pushed me toward trying new things. I like trying new things.
The thing about Mida, though, is that it's the same gun it's always been, and it never needed a nerf before. To be honest, I personally feel like Mida seems a bit weaker than it did in Y1, but that's neither here nor there.
Bungie knows that Mida is a balanced weapon, and they know that it's seeing a lot of use lately. If a nerf is the course of action they choose, it will all but prove that they don't know what they're doing.
It will likely be the straw that breaks this camel's back. I thoroughly enjoy Destiny, and I hope Bungie does the right thing. Now, we wait and see...

They don't need to nerf MIDA. It's the single most skill dependent Exotic in the game! If you don't know how to flank, read the radar properly, and land conistent headshots, the MIDA does next to nothing for you. It's not a raw power output gun the way Thorn is.
-
Agreed.
-
Exactly! They even had to BUFF it before. It's almost been this consistent beast that no one used , because they were too busy riding the Y1 meta. Now the same people are flocking to MIDA, a balanced gun, and will get it nerfed simply because they themselves used it!
-
Amen.

Jesus, are you serious? Yeah Mida is the same gun it's always been, the problem is that all other guns have been nerfed to hell. Here, try this, go play a crucible match and try NOT to get headshots with MIDA. It's almost impossible with the ridiculous aim assist.
-
It's not that. People are spreading the rumor that MIDA is op. You can take down MIDA with anything, a handcannon, autorifle, pulse rifle. They just are convinced it's op
-
Right now, compared to the other guns available, MIDA is OP. All you have to do is play any crucible match to see that that is what the majority of people are using. The problem is that MIDA rewards players with bad aim with easy head shots. It's one thing if one or two guys on the other team have great aim but when the other 6 guys are all using MIDA and they all get head shots every time they fire then we have a problem.

If they do end up nerfing the midst I feel the only real plausible nerf would be the flinch locking you get with it the starter can be a bit excessive at times. This come from an avid midas user both y1 and y2.
-
I feel the same way. Y2 mida feels way weaker than Y1.
