I'd just hit reputation 1 with SRL, and opened the kit which you're rewarded (I'm not sure which it was, I was too excited to open it to check if it was a sparrow or racer kit). Interacted with the item to open it, but there was no item reward. Logging out and back in again hasn't refreshed the reward.
