Why do people in Star Wars hate hands?
Why is it in every -blam!-ing Star Wars movie someone loses a hand. Like think about it. Starting with Obi-Wan chopping off that arm in episode 4. To Luke in episode 5 and Anakin in episode 2. So many people lose their arms and hand in these movies. Why?

2 RepliesWell, according to the non cannon expanded universe, to use the force at its fullest a force user must have all his body parts. If you lose your leg or arm, you cannot use the force at the same extent. That why Darth Vader could not become a true Sith lord, even though he have the title of Darth.

4 RepliesIsn't that logical? If you chop off their hands or arms they cannot fight with weapons anymore, at least for the time being. For most things inside Star Wars (The Force, Lightsabers, Weapons, Vehicles etc.) you need your hands and arms. Losing them is more humiliating than a quick death. Imagine you being an renowned fighter, and then you lose your arms and are useless in fights for the rest of your life.

They are fighting with laser swords that can cut through pretty much anything with minimal effort, im honestly surprised that more limbs arent lost throughout the series.
