I had this happen with a sword once. I melee someone with a sword and they shotgun me. We both die but I died from a shotgun and he killed himself somehow..?

Yeah, that's actually a pretty common glitch with swords. for some reason if you sort of trade kills there is a very good chance that it will just say the person without the sword "died". It's happened to me 2-3 times
