Book fixed in 24 hours, yet thorn took 8 months to fix, bungie cares about $ not players- 30 DOLLARS FOR LEVEL UPS ON PSN STORE LOL
Amazing how fast they put out a patch late at night to fix their wallet yet still screw over thousands of players with broken game mechanics. Hell, since TTK released the raid has had multiple bugs yet they go unfixed. Bungie in danger of losing some 10 dollar sales on their TWO MAP, ONE MODE "FREE EVENT"? patch overnight.
If you still support them after this you're nothing but a silver sucking desticle.
EDIT: let's see you defend bungie now, children. Cosmetics only, right guys? Paying for free dlc, right guys? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Shout out to people who waited months to get all 50 fragments and only got a timegated shader LOL

Consider this...the book glitch was probably a few lines of screwed up code that wouldn't have any impact on anything else in the game. When you have, as you say, a "game-breaking" glitch, Bungie has to first investigate the majorly screwed up code, figure out how to fix it in a way that won't mess up anything else, and then play test it to make sure it doesn't -blam!- anything up. You throw in a quick half ass patch on the heavy ammo glitch and it causes glitches to where people are getting double heavy or no heavy or whatever. It takes time to investigate [u]game-breaking glitches[/u] because there is [u]game-breaking code[/u] that has to be rewritten and fixed without -blam!-ing anything else up along the way.

You just realized this. When it's helping the guardians they can find the fix or bug quick but when it's hurting or screwing over the Guardian it's explained as a nasty bug that they are working on. Look how long it took to fix heavy ammo bug of losing half when you died/wiped during crota.

Which ttk bugs? I've run the raid MANY times and haven't seen many... it can be argued that thorn wasn't broken, but working as intended. It was a difficult weapon to obtain and was extremely underwhelming for a long time. Also, the book glitch was obviously a very easy fix, unlike other problems/fixes.

this fix was simple and made sense in favor of not only for themselves, but their customers who've bought the book. since some people paid money to get those rewards, those things should be exclusive to them, hence the asking price, otherwise there is no reason to have bought the book at all. its a simple matter to deal with. bugs, on the other hand, are very difficult to fix because you do not know how they came to be. coding is a complicated thing and sometimes strange things happen because of a miss-placed 1. (also: multiple bugs? KF has been the least buggy of all of the raids.)

2 RepliesIt is much easier to insert a code that says x must be owned in order to equip y. Then it is to find an error in a code, adjust code, or make changes to a gun, then test how it performs, then see if the code change created any new bugs. Not only is it an easy fix to make the hot patch they did, it was for an item that is only going to be around for 3 weeks, and it was to not blam over those that paid for it. Why are people also ignoring they fixed some other bugs in the hot patch like the leg engram issue as well?
