Maybe you should consider who is requesting gear be brought back....have you even read the forums...like ever....
Secondly, MMOs have a limited set of max weapons obtained and I am sure if you want to pay a subscription Bungie would glad add more useless exotics.
In fact I read the forums quite often. It's a modicum of entertainment I get from Destiny considering I stopped playing a little over a month ago. And to imply that a lack of Max weapons in Destiny is the same as other MMOs' or MMO like games is pretty silly to be honest. There weren't forum requiring people to have Thunderfury in vanilla WOW or you would get booted from raids. Or requiring the hammer from Ragnaros to run raids. People didn't boot you if you didn't have Rapid Infinity or Conference call in Borderlands. That was because even at endgame there are various weapons people could use to get the job done without feeling like a hindrance.
The term elements in regard to Destiny means using the laziest parts of what makes a MMO a MMO. Rng based loot? Check. A halfway contrived drop in drop out system in the world? Check. Vendors selling useless loot that becomes obsolete after farming quests/enemies? Check. You can't let them get away with using "elements" of an MMO and then use that as a crutch when they do it poorly. But continue to defend what they do. I can't wait for other games to use "elements" of other games and when it's done half-assed people like you will swoop in over the horizon and be their shield. Make sure to get some more silver and make Deej proud.
