But why? In-game voice chat is barely used in favor of the chat system on the console itself. Matchmaking had to be sort of a watch and learn thing because can't really know how it would affect the game. I don't blame them for not having matchmaking for end-game content at launch. A lot of games today still don't have color vlind options, either. It's sort of on the developer wether or not they want to take the time to include that. Bungie did it because we wanted to. They never had to. They could have ignored the community like everybody loves to say they do. And Xur was implemented poorly in the way it reset your progress. If we look at just using Xur to upgrade and look past the progress reset, that's something Bungie has never done previously and was definitely experimentation. And it was changed because we disliked the process.
My original reply is not supposed to be about whether or not this content should have existed at launch. My reply was to show how Bungie does actually listen to the community. They do listen and implement things. The problem is that Bungie can't implement every little want this community has, so they receive undue backlash for it.
