Yeah bud, that's how it works. You didn't realize this?? Lol. So many MMO expansions do the same thing, new expansion, new armor and weapons and you discard or sell your old stuff. Even putting aside the "not an MMO" argument we could agree that there are elements of an MMO in this game and item "turnover" is one of them.
