I tend to strictly stick with gun kills if that makes a difference. Half the time I don't even use my super during games because I honestly don't care to. My setup that I've been using for a while is NLB, Havoc Pigeon and The Ash Factory.

It makes a difference. The way I see it Combat rating is something like score per minute in COD, when you don't use your super you lose out on potential points which buff your score, perhaps leading to the low Combat rating
