Just because a game is rated M doesn't mean that there won't be squeakers playing it. A lot of kids parents just don't care anymore and buy them whatever they want.

That's true. But it changes the design/development philosophies to cater to a mature audience, meaning less restrictions etc. So it does have an affect

It does make the game more enjoyable content wise. I just don't like little kids playing M games. It ruins the experience for me and over exposes the next generation of humans.
