I've got a Deathclaw hand but I don't know what else I need. Are there schematics like in previous games?

Honestly as far as I know you just need to unlock weapon mods from the upgrade perk list. Melee weapons are under strength I think.

I'm fairly sure there are schematics, I think I saw a mention of them in the loading screen
