Ive been noticing an increase in the amount of disrespect from bungie employees on community forums.
Just look at todays weekly update and the extremely snarky and sarcastic comments from Deej such as "omg he only has 1600 weapon parts left we need to do something" and "we hold the right to do anything with the game economy we want."
Does anyone else think snarky comments like this are very unprofessional? Like Bungie you act like your some sort of hero for fixing a problem that YOU created.
Here is a comment from another post that explains my thoughts perfectly, all credit goes to user Wahrnye
"Just another joke of a weekly update that makes it easier to not look back on this game going forward.
Announcing the weapon parts change - Fine, but that's a fix to a problem THEY created. And when addressing the fact that THEY created this problem, DeeJ wraps it up in unnecessary snark about being curators of THEIR living world. Hubris to the highest degree; it's almost as if they're saying how dare we question their choices?
Let me say this next part slowly so the apologists can understand: Etheric Light and Wormspore uses should have been in the game since September's launch, not something coming soon by December. They knew Etheric Light was a thing that many people had plenty of and they also introduced Wormspore (apparently) without any regard for what to do with it outside a few weapon upgrades. IIt's going to take them almost 3 months to finally make these things meaningful? These are all issues they created by poor planning or bad oversight, not something they should be praised for fixing AFTER the fact.
The rest of the entire update was about the same tired PVP bullshit as almost every other weekly update. No news on new content, no commenting on the terrible loot system - especially in regards to raid drops (I love doing the raid and getting a fourth duplicate item at 302 light... ) - or the fact that Nightfalls, Strikes, and Court of Oryx ceases being rewarding once you reach 300 light or more.
I've seen this playbook before. Between this and Activision spouting off their easily manipulated "registered user" numbers (aka 'investor math'), they've pretty much already decided they're going to pander to the base players who believe Bungie can never, ever, do any wrong. Nothing will change going forward. Bungie and Activision are living in their own echo chamber - as evidenced by the fact that they spend more time conversing with the "community" on Bungie-friendly outlets like Reddit and Twitter..."
EDIT:
A lot of you seem to think im just looking for something to be offended by cuz im a "no balls toxic loser"
Its more im just fed up with the bullshit direction this game is taking like timegating exotics that i already payed for to extend gameplay time and patching things like weapon parts for no -blam!-ing reason
Perhaps the most irritating thing is the bungie fanboys and dickriders who will stop at nothing to defend everything the devs do to this game and every word that comes out of that douchebag known as Deej's mouth.
Go ahead meet me with ninja justice for stating the obvious about your shit company and bottomfeeder fanboys
EDIT2
It seems the common defense for Deejs tone is "oh bungie has to go through so much shit and complaining on the forums, people are meanies"
You people cant seriously believe its ok for a company to retaliate in this fashion. Oh no a game developer has to see negative feedback about the game they made wahh wahh prayers for bungie" All of you are saying "can the entitled/offended generation go away", if you ask me the people defending bungie with this mindset are the "offended generation."
Some of you say, "The customer is always right bullshit has to stop." Anyone who utters this is a complete moron and has either no concept of business ethics or is 15 years old and thinks they are being righteous and hip.
Go ahead, start a business and whenever a customer has a problem with you or the product, tell them to -blam!- OFF. Yea thats a good business model, you will surely succeed.

I agree seriously everything you said I was thinking after reading the news. It's all problems they created by nerfing the economy in the game to hinder players and gain more player hours. Come on look at this raids loot systematic design to keep players grinding it every week. Why in this raid bungie employee's thought it was a good idea to put light level on the RNG wheel? The Grind is real when you get duplicates after waiting a week and your light level is still the same by the end of the raid. #Rewarding

For the most part I have some sympathy with what has been written with the exception of the name calling, I have played this game every day since day 1 with the exception of xmas day, for me the game is becoming stale, (Enemy's, 12 same with slight modifications) toxic loot drops, (Zur, now a has been) ( Quests, died up) (Missions, same old, same old) I love the game and the interaction it brings with other players but the game doesn't seem to be progressing the way it should, TTK promised a great deal and injected a new lease of life to the game albeit brief, they killed off one of the characters (the queen) who I think should have been made more of, (beautiful but sinister, a scheming brother, missed opportunity's there) new enemy's, new surroundings, stand alone strikes but not for loot but intel leading to missions that evolve into strikes where loot is the objective, humanoid enemies as well as fantasy enemies would give more scope for play, as the game is now and without expanding the game horizons I believe that unless the game broadens out even diehard's like myself and others it will not last too much longer.
Its more im just fed up with the bullshit direction this game is taking like timegating exotics that i already payed for to extend gameplay time and patching things like weapon parts for no -blam!-ing reason
If you think about time gating from their perspective to get you to play each day waiting to complete it, its ingenious. If you look at it from a selfish perspective where its all about you and not wanting to wait to get something done because suddenly your time matters, then I recommend investing into Kleenex brand tissues, because I expect you will find many aspects of life unfair and not revolving around you.

I used to slowly rise in the amount of weapon parts I had, I ended up around 600 parts pre-nerf. Now I'm down to 250 and still going down. They sound like they're sick of people complaining about the game, but without our complaints destiny wouldn't be the game it is today. I can see that they're getting at the people who are complaining who don't need to complain, but for the majority of the player base this isn't the case.

You watch the "real housewives", and become fully enraptured, don't you?

Edited by Vakso: 11/6/2015 3:24:34 PMDestiny is a bad game and I'm not afraid to say it. Only reason I bought it was because I thought it was going to be something it didn't turn out to be. However raids were fun, made allot of friends always had something to do or someone to help out. Then I just kept playing, waiting for a new game. Now I only play because of friends. If its just myself I won't log into destiny anymore. I quit PvP more than a month ago now, I only raid nightfall now, no desire for anything else and even that is sliding. I haven't finished all my raids in a week for the last 2 and won't again this week. Soon enough I'll delete destiny. Good luck seeing this title survive its 10 year run, over 7 to go..... I just don't see it happening unless they start ramping up in house testing, create a standard static and balanced PvP content package, custom and private games, dedicated servers, higher frame rate, better graphics (not just better resolution), an actually effective player reporting system, a ban system for cheaters and mods alike (they have a suspension system in place, this is not a ban system), new enemies not re-skins with existing or slightly altered abilities (needs original new content here), a story that doesn't just end with the boss changing forms so theres an excuse for him to exist in the raid, start getting balancing right before content release. This list I made just above isint near complete for an improved gaming experience but its a massive start. Their in house team responsible for shit like balancing and content testing is truly sad. The fact we the community found 2 super glitches so shortly after a content release proves this. Why are we doing their job and taking the shitty play experience while they work it out? Most expensive video game ever can't even get tested properly by its own company.

Holy shit you're sensitive.
-
I agree with this post, having come from other mmos a company should not be upset when they have to fix problems they created. They should fix it in a timely manner and apologize for it even being a problem in the first place. Inb4 "I'm entitled" its called good business.
-
Can the entitled generation please go away? I had no issue with the update but I don't expect to be given things either.
-
Given the amount of shit they have to wade through in the average day in the forums, I fully expect a touch of sarcasm / "smart-ass'ness" on occasion. So the forums want to dish it out all -blam!-ing day every -blam!-ing day on every topic that can be thought of, but bungie make a couple slightly off-handed remarks that can be interpreted to be slightly offensive if you think hard enough and the forum goes HOLY -blam!-ING SHIT THEY JUST INSULTED ME! HOW DARE YOU SIR! HOW DARE YOU!
-
I've always seen Deej's writing style to be full of dickery. He talks to the community as if we're spoilt brats, some are, but the majority just want to give feedback on the gripes that individually and communally we have with a game we like a lot and want to see get better.
-
Your quoting it completely wrong and out of context, don't be that guy...
Need Weapon Parts? We know! We’ve read a lot of feedback about the abject poverty that was induced when we adjusted their drop rate. My Boss says things are getting dire for him! He’s down to only 1,656 of them, so we need to act fast. As part of the November update, we’re authorizing Banshee-44 as your Weapon Parts dealer. He’ll accept Glimmer as a form of payment. In all sincerity, as the curators of your living social world, we reserve the right to tinker with the economy. We also reserve the right to change our minds again once we’ve had a chance to read the forum. Thanks for giving enough of a damn to tell us what’s up.
All I see there is Deej making a bit of fun out of his boss' weapon parts surplus and admitting that they not always make the right decisions and the community is passionate enough about the game to give them a wake-up call. Also, your edit makes the rest of your post totally worthless... If you can't be the bigger man and rise above negative comments, don't bother posting in here in the first place.
-
Edited by MarcG420: 11/6/2015 3:35:11 PMJust leave already. They can do what they like with their creation; if you don't like it you could always stop playing. Also, that comment about time locking a weapon you paid for illustrates your level of stupidity. You paid to play the game. That's it.
-
I completely agree, it's insulting how they treat us like idiots
-
They make a joke and fix the problem you all been asking for and still complain...this community will never be happy. They could give everybody everything they want and the forums would be filled with people complaining that Bungie is scared and is trying to retain players by giving us everything. Just be happy they are fixing the issues and learn to take a joke.
-
Looks like the desticles are stirred up today!
-
Well ...
Deej nuts
-
they were worse in the halo days. they have toned it down for all the kiddies on the forums i noticed that M rated games have a much better community. Halo 5 being T brought a lot of squeakers to the game and the waypoint forums are getting just as toxic has here.
-
I liked halo, and I like destiny alright, but I hope it didn't take you this long to realize alot of em are immature dipshits.

Edited by RadicalSpirit: 11/6/2015 10:10:01 AMAre you a journalist? I only ask because the way you manipulated quotes to show almost an entirely different context was very journalist like.. It looks like you read the update and then inserted key words to change the whole structure and how it would be perceived. I should state, I absolutely do not care one bit about Bungie development team, or Destiny the game. I no longer play it, these forums are just a good way to pass the time at work, and I saw you spouting some rubbish with misrepresentation so figured I'd say something. A lot of you on this forum must be spoilt kids, because you're so entitled it's unbelievable, especially considering that your parents are the ones who bought your console and games!
-
Lmao what a crybaby. You're honestly complaining about an entertainment product. If you don't like what a company offers, take your money and put it elsewhere, it's part of living in a free market.
-
Burn deej! Burn him! How dare he make a joke in this day and age! He's a witch! He must burn! He turned me into a newt! Even if I got better he still needs to burn! Burn the witch! The people are being repressed! Burn him!
-
I don't how people who get offended over that weapons parts comment function in normal society. If you can't handle that without getting upset, how do you handle everyday life?
-
Try World of Tanks, it's a fun game. Star Wars Battlefront comes out in about 2 weeks.
-
It was uncalled for, and frankly this type of attitude is what I've been warning against since this game came out, Bungie is arrogant with a game that hasn't even established itself, they are still riding the halo train and its glory instead if making something new and better
