Etheric light should be used to ascend any weapon and armor to 320 attack and defence.

Maybe use it just to increase light on legendary/ exotic gear by 5

Although I think it's a good idea that Etheric light be used to increase light level of a weapon slightly, instantly maxing it out at 320 is just way too much...nobody would have any interest in playing the raid...just run through PoE which can be done solo quite easily now days, and you have a maxed out weapon??? That's too easy...they game loses its "fun factor" if things are just handed to you with ease

I'm pointing out that you're not guaranteed a 320 drop just because you run the raid. While the game is already grindy there are those stuck at their light level cause RNG is dropping them nothing higher. So when a person states a way to use an old material in an effective way (no I don't think esthetic light should max you at 320 maybe only by like 5 or whatever) I am not going to simply point out the obvious of what people need to do in order to level up. We all know Bungie will not do this with EL anyways, so don't get yourself riled up.
