Final edit: This is regarding having a chance of getting no drops from hard mode. A lot of people, including myself, have gotten very frustrated with this to the point where we just don't want to play anymore. PROOF THIS IS NOT A GLITCH AND SOMETHING WHICH IS INTENDED BY BUNGIE: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/169504792/0/0 It's not easy with a LFG team and after you spend a while fighting the boss, you get nothing or just normal mode loot. What's the point of doing it on Hard if you won't get loot anyway? I've seen it all. Vault of Glass normal and hard, Crota's End normal and Hard, along with Prison of Elders. I've been through forever 29 but never complained about the rewards but this time I am as every other encounter gave you something every time. Below is my original post. Don't I just love it when I spend 20 min on a encounter only to get nothing? Last week it was nothing from sisters. This week, it was nothing from Golgoroth and I was the one who had the gaze. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to remove drops completely is a dumbass who deserves a slap to the face. GIVE US GUARANTEED DROPS ON EVERY ENCOUNTER! Just to clarify one thing, I'm not asking for straight 320 drops with perfect rolls. I'm just asking for drops. Now, with the variety of things you can get, you won't be done immediately. You get a drop, then it needs to be 320 and it needs desirable rolls. For those of you saying "It has always been like this", it hasn't. I've been here since week one (Sign of Founders on my Hunter) and I'll tell you why. Before you got shards and / or energies. You could use those to upgrade your initial gear and make it more powerful. You got something out of it if you remembered correctly. Now, since you don't need ascendant materials to upgrade anymore, the equivalent could be seen as weapons or gear. You use high light stuff and upgrade your initial gear and make it more powerful. If you do a normal raid and complete it, then do a hard raid, or just do a hard raid straight then you have the chance of getting nothing which has 310+ light until Oryx. What was the point of doing the previous encounters then if they don't guarantee you items? And it's not like this is infrequent. I didn't get anything from 3/5 encounters last week and 2/5 encounters this week. How is that fair? Also, those of you calling me "entitled", I am entitled. I finished the activity therefore I earned the rewards. If you disagree with that then why not just remove loot completely from every activity? Edit: 250+ replies.     I would also say fix the Moldering Shard loot drop. Since it pulls from the other possible tables, it has a higher chance of rewarding you with 2 Moldering Shards or nothing at all, than it does anything else, because both Moldering Shards and "Nothing" are present in every loot table. Maybe implement a 20 Moldering Shard = Guaranteed NM drop of a piece of gear or weapon, while 40 Moldering Shards = Guaranteed HM drop of a piece of gear or weapon. I have 130 Moldering Shards and I don't need/want anything from NM, and they don't even work in HM.

  • Can honesty say, even the vault had a very limited drop rate. Crota's end was more fair I found. This feels like plunging into year one all over again.

    • That's crap man. Every endgame activity should have a reward. With that said, I can also see the frustration of grinding through the raids only to constantly get items below your current light level. The real problem is RNG-linked progression after level 40+. To resolve that issue, I've posted my proposal for a leveling system that would decouple progression from RNG so that progression is not dependent on whether you are lucky.     • What bugs me is the defence stat roll, otherwise it's ok, doing the raid once a week to get 317 armour for example and doing it again the following week to get 315 is the part that annoys me

      • If you've already beaten HM oryx just play the raid up until oryx. I've gotten way better gear than I have actually beating oryx. I have 52 moldering shards and I've gotten crap from oryx

        • This is the whole point of the economy Nerf. Why do you think Tess is back? It not just to sell you Emotes. She's back to sell consumables, you know like items that would help BOOST your chances in the Raid RNG drops. Your frustrations would push you to purchase such an item. Just you wait.

          • The problem isn't the lack of a garaunteed drop. The problem is the loot that does drop has a chance at not being max LL. Two things on that front is that a) HM raid gear should not drop at anything under 315, as this gives players the ability to progress upward, and b) they do need a smarter loot system that doesn't calculate seperate drops by LL but instead by type. I received a 310 Harrowed shotgun on one of my runs, this is ridiculous and should never happen to a player. On my titan, in 2 runs at Golgorath, I recieved 313 gauntlets the first run, and the second 303 gauntlets from my NM roll and 314 gauntlets from my HM roll at the same time. These are perfect examples of what is so wrong with the loot system. Bungie wants us using weapons of our choice, but that's not possible of you aren't getting the infusion material you need to bring them up. I don't think Bungie took into account not just reaching maxed light, but using the items you prefer to get there when they coded the RNG for the raid.
