Games have age ratings for a reason, in the uk it's a 16 so I don't expect to see kids younger than that playing, it's a damn parents fault for being shit and giving kids whatever they want. Saw a 10 year old in game yesterday and his mum bought him mw3, what the hell!

the rating is just a suggestion. my 6 year old plays Destiny & has seen all the Marvel movies from the last 10 years. both forms of entertainment are rated for teens, but he still enjoys them.
no, my child doesn't use a mic & yes I'm usually in the room with him while he plays.
Its not a suggestion, it's a legal guide line, otherwise you would be able to see 18 movies at any age for buy any game at 10, which you can't.

Films are rated by the bbfc, which is bound by law Games are rated by pegi, which isn't bound by law
-
Then why couldn't I buy an 18 rated game, until I was 18? Its illegal.

Edited by brose one: 10/28/2015 4:03:46 PMthe law applies to the content provider. (vendor) children aren't allowed to purchase the games/movies but are allowed to play/view the rated material with adult permission.
