Honesty, I'd rather take the 10 3oc's. That's ten chances to get a 310 exotic

well it took me 18 engrams before I got a 310, and it took about 50 odd three of coins to get those 19 engrams so........

That's really bad luck then, it's rare I get a 290 exotic unless it's for my hunter (which isn't 300 yet so I assume it to be 290 lol)

In my case that's still 0% chance of getting an exotic. :-\

:( just have to use them with time in between each use. I usually grind strikes, or kill that ultra knight on the dreadnaught. Or tier 3 court of oryx. With 10 3oc's you can probably get 2 or 3 exotics
