In my personal opinion, defender just had to be used properly. I have all three classes and I once mained a titan for quite a while pvp wise. I really enjoyed one shotting people with ice breaker and 2 shotting with my scholar adept. It was so freaking great.

I always liked using Defender in Rumble simply for heavy ammo. If you had your super by Heavy spawn then it was as good as yours.
