I'm 33 and would've turned my back on Destiny a long time ago if I had as low of an opinion of it as you appear to do. My free time is in short supply so I don't waste it on video games that are a massive disappointment to me.
I guess I just think teenagers have the free time to waste as I know I did at that age :)
Well, to be fair I'm not working right now due to a back injury that required surgery. If I was still working 40 hours a week I definitely wouldn't be spending as much time and effort on this. Though, its still not exactly easy to just let go of it, either. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't emotionally attached to the developer for their past work. Not just Halo, either. I personally enjoyed ONI and Marathon.
Funny enough, I played Marathon first, long before I ever touched DOOM.
That's fair enough... I take it that this is the first Bungie game that was such a disappointment for you? As I've already been through something similar with Reach, where the MM really wasn't to my taste, and i know i gave it longer before giving up on it than i would've done for a non-Bungie game that i found disappointing.
Yeah, Destiny was the first actual time Bungie really disappointed me. I mean, I was disappointed before, but because its Bungie I kept giving them chance after chance and the benefit of the doubt. I first got into their games before they even started making Halo. I loved Marathon and Oni, respectively.
