Why the hell would you automatically respect somebody for owning a gun? I know gun nuts tend to have screwy logic, but that makes no sense at all.

I also respect any gun owner and think that every capable citizen should own one. The police don't protect you, so you have to protect yourself.

No sane human being would respect someone for simply owning a gun. Gun does not equal respect gun = gun I own guns. And I know other people who own guns. Some of whom I respect, others I do not. I respect them based on their worthiness of my respect regardless of their ownership of a gun. But gun simply = gun, not respect
