It's not about the emotes. It's not about how much they cost. When you give a ton of money to the devs for doing virtually nothing they get to make their own standards. If you want video games to get better and stay interesting you have to push the devs to make good products so that they keep making money. With this structure they're taking in money for less work and therefore don't have to be challenged.
