YES! At rank 2, Titan gets a quest for an exotic shotgun, and each other respective class gets one as well. There are other benefits, of course, but it's not that hard to do anyway, so why not?

the shotgun is sweet too. I have it on my titan right now

It's a legendary shotgun(Titan)/sniper(hunter)/fusion rifle(warlocks) not exotic. That comes later.
