Would anyone still do the older raids?
I'm just wondering if anyone still bothers doing VoG or Croata's End? I'd understand if the majority opinion was "no" since most of the gear probably doesn't do much for anybody that's at endgame now, but I'd think it'd be fun to try and breeze through them at lvl 40.
EDIT: Glad to see the response is mostly in favour of still doing them. Lot of people, like myself included, are still hungry to try and find the last few pieces of gear for their collections. Hopefully this gets a lot people interested, since each raid can only be looted once per week, and I'd be bored as shit myself constantly waiting on King's Fall if I complete it early on.
Edit 2: Forgot to throw this in, but my gamertag is the same as my name for people looking to hook up on 360.

I just got back to Destiny a couple months ago, and had not purchased any DLC. I got HoW because of the Prison of Elders feature (something with matchmaking!!!). Before that, I had never even attempted VoG, and have only completed it 3 times up to now. I held off on getting TDB since I knew I'd be purchasing TTK (HoW confirmed that I still wanted to play Destiny), so I actually only got access to Crota last week. TL;DR: Yes, I'll be doing Crota's raid at some point, and I like running around Vault of Glass enough that I'll be going back there, too. If you're on XB1, feel free to add me (gamertag is the same as it is here), and we can run the raids at some point. Right now I'm powering up to be end-game ready for TTK, and agree that going back to the old stuff should be fun; not everything is about getting almighty loot.

4 RepliesI feel like I read somewhere that killing Bosses in Crota's End would grant Crota's Bane (Eris) reputation. Have yet to confirm.

If you do Crota Normal its pretty easy to get Flawless raider if you didn't already have it.

Edited by daddlebutt: 9/22/2015 3:58:38 PMI wish they would do something...ttk essentially kicked out 3/4 of end game content that is supposed be always end game content the bungee people said....I mean the game is still greatand all and I love ttk. But it's a rip off to not add make these higher difficulty levels. Because even for a level 30 person they could run it and get decent gear but play two more hours on story mode and get x2 better quality gear.

With somewhere around 170-180 raid completions I can saw legitimately I'm done with pre-TTK raids. Received every armor/weapon/raid exotic from both. Time to move on and remember the great times I had in the VOG, hated Crota because it didn't feel like a raid IMO. Nonetheless, still ran Crota till TTK dropped.

Yes, I'd like the Crux of Crota, and I still enjoy running raids with folk and showing the ropes to people who are new to raids in a less pressured environment.

Definitely Vault of Glass because it's kinda fun and I can do Relic so yeah. Crota's End? Yea I'd be down for it if someone else wanted to run it. Not sure I could do Swordbear though.

(Just take out boomers first..if doing normal for funs...hell..can probably take out the yellow boomers and wizard on hard too and beat him in one run.) Or 6 titans with hammer of sols since its a melee super.....

Materials dropped can be converted for motes. Motes are now very useful. Would definitely do VOG.
