Yeah but you don't lose the books you already bought, so bad analogy. There is no good analogy for this as Bungie are taking the piss in a manner pretty unheard of before.

  • You lose your own hyper on what's to come. You lose knowing what comes next. you do lose stuff in this analogy, trust me I went through it and bought the rest of the books anyway. it is a good analogy

  • No it's not, you don't lose ANYTHING you PAID for. Bad analogy.

  • And you didn't lose anything you paid for herr. everything you paid for is still accessible just reorganized. I'm sorry you can't play the new crucible maps that came out year two. or the new strikes. but you had a chance to pay for more and didn't. there are playlists for year one crucible and strikes. you didn't lose anything

I know I can't play the new stuff, I expect that. The last two dlc didn't lock you out of rumble etc or even the weeklies or nightfall unless it was as the new strikes. This one does, so content has been lost. That's an immutable fact. So the book analogy is still bad.
