To the idiots who say grimoire is only ghosts...
Let me clear up the grimoire=dead ghosts claim.
Ghost account for about 5 grimoire each. Some Ghosts count for 10 or 15 though.
There are 77 dead ghosts.
77x5=385. Let's just round that up to approximately 550. Fair enough?
Only 550 score out of a possible 3620 (xb) or 3665 (ps) can be given to you by finding dead ghosts. While that is a substantial gain, it is not the key factor for a high grimoire.
You say Grimoire doesn't show skill? Let me brake it down.
Where did the other 3,000 points come from? It shows you have played a variety of PvE and PvP content, and that you have done them [u]multiple[/u] times. It shows commitment to the game. Whether that is a good or bad thing is up for debate.
Now, grimoire means, for the most part, [u]experience[/u]. You do not need a high grimoire score to be good. You can have a natural talent at the game.
But:
talent+experience=skill
When talent is refined with experience, that makes a player skilled.

That is why grimoire, to me, means skill.
[b]Usually[/b] anyway. I will play with anyone, it doesn't matter to me. But, I will prefer people who have a higher score. I feel I can trust them to know what is going on.

I agree, while I only grind grimoire for completion I feel I can trust people with high scores more to get the job done, but this does not mean I will only play with people who have X amount of grimoire

Girmore means nothing a skilled player could have 2000 and is still better than me

2 RepliesAs stated below medal score is a much better showing of skill not Grimore score. Any player skilled or not can obtain a score like mine just by playing destiny. I can hold my own well enough in pve but suck ass in pvp, just not my cup of tea. My entire 3495 score is simply playing the game, completely the story, raids, collecting ghosts, killing things, playing some pvp for the maps, etc.

2 RepliesI currently have 0 ghosts and 2800 grikore, thats because I dont give a shit about it and still went flawless countless times in trials, have done skolas and was a lvl 30 og. Alpha player

I have a reasonably high grimoire, a lot of it is to do with playing lots of different activities. Each PoE boss for example, each wolves bounty boss, each raid. Strike completions, patrols etc. All add up. I'm only working on a few PvP ones now and need the new ghosts. Grimoire represents experience primarily with a bit of skill thrown in.

Alright. Now add up every grimoire point you get for casually completing the story in about 5 hours. Seriously, some of you people will cry about anything at all.
