Eao was/is an Ahamkara whose 'bones' are used for the Bones of Eao. Alpha Lupi is the Traveler

EAO kinda has some lore behind it They are bones from an ancient space dragon know as the Ahamkara and some believe the nine either are helping the last of the Ahamkara or the Ahamkara are the nine and there just nine left.

yup same creature they are kind of a mix between genies and dragons not much is known about them besides the fact they had "special gifts ' and where deem to be a problem by the tower and where hunted to none where left or so we where told
