Who else thinks Nolan sounds terrible?!!
Dinklage was sooooo much better! People moaning that Dinklage underplayed it, but it was subtlety he was playing, as he is an ai ROBOT after all.
I know Nolan makes more sense as its his business and he's more readily available but now it sounds so cheep and over done. He sounds like he's permanently questioning himself. Ha
Peter Dinklage was awesome! If it ain't broke don't fix it!
But all the fussy childish players out there who thought "well it could be better", nagged away endlessly at Bungie, and Dinklage (which pissed me off) until we all get stuck with this shit "performance" (if that's what you wanna call it).
And now all the people who were amongst the bitchy little whine a lots that caused this mess, have realised that they should've been happy with a good thing and not chased after the mythical "perfect".
At least give us a setting to switch between the two voices for year 1 content so we have a choice!!!

EDIT - Wow THANKS for all the support guys!!! This post is blowing up! I had no idea that (near) EVERYONE else felt as strongly about this as me.
Thank you to all Guardians, keep the replies coming and maybe Bungie will add the voice toggle switch so we can have our little Dinklebot back for year one content.

That "guardian down" line is the worst of all these bad lines.. Terrible job.. He is even worse than Dinklage and that is an accomplishment..

The new Ghost sounds so lame it is actually, in my eyes, a huge step backwards, maybe they should add an option where we can change the voice? They have both actor's lines for the game saved, why not offer an option? #Feedback

Dinklbot was way better. He played the part perfectly. Everyone is like "oh he had no emotion." Well that was the character of the ghost, and he did it perfectly. His voice was soothing and fit into every situation unlike Nolan's voice. This is the same error that 2K did to Kreig the meat psycho in borderlands 2 when removing all his amazing ranting lines that went on forever. These voices are what make the story flow the way it does. Now every time I hear him in a scene it just kills the mood of the game. Send Nolan back to AC. we don't need him.

Horrible, beyond bad. Nolan just highlights the lousy narrative and has taken it to an all time low. If you can't write a better script and come up with a better set of voice options at least give us the option to mute this crap. It's like Nolan was given a script card and told to read through this lousy narrative as fast as he could (you paying by the hour, Bungie?). Seriously, the pitch, tone, tempo is just off. This needs a redo at a minimum.

I liked dinklage way more. This new guy. "We've woken the hive?" "Great, he's in a tank?" "*don't* do that?" Everything sounds like a question, nasally, into a tin can.

1 ReplyI was coming to the forums to leave my feedback on it... he's so... upbeat and doesn't respond with the right emotion to the task at hand... such as when first encounting hive on the moon, he just states "We've awoken the Hive!" but minus the "!" and just states it like a "no duh" type thing... then he ruined the little light scene... just watched it and I'm mad -.- he said it so fast and had no emotion behind it... felt like he was just trying to say it as fast as he could and get it over with. We should have an option to swap.... infact they should try and record Dinklage for taken king and then give us the option to pick between the two at the end of the whole story cutscenes, picking also is like a vote system...
