Personally I think the problem here is people will l relate to the Destiny lore about crota can only be defeated by the sword bearer etc.
This is only in destiny lore - this lore obviously does not recognise goku in it therefore there is no way of saying that goku can or cannot kill crota, atheon or oryx...
Who knows...?
