The base is guarded and fortified, there are sighs of military activity everywhere, a group of armored trucks exit and drive past him.

It's clear that the heavy machine gunner by the gate is tracking his movements and a large tower on each of the four corners of the base smells of snipers.

*keeps walking toward the base observing the snipers and guards* Might get shot but oh well

He is stopped by one of the soldiers at the gate, of the five men at the gate there is the one who is talking to him, one on the machine gun and the other three stand behind the concrete barriers. "Who are you?"

The movement causes the soldiers to take aim at him, when it's revealed to be a deck of cards they lower their rifles. "What made you think reaching for something was a good idea? And what are you doing here on Mars, there are no locals here."
