False. In the RPG MMO "Neverwinter" there were class-specific weapons (and a cloak) that automatically leveled-up with you as you progressed. Suffice to say that those rare items were very sought after.

Destiny is not an RPG (or MMO), it is a "shared world shooter" - hm only the word "shooter" is in that name. Destiny is a shooter at it's core. It is more an FPS than any other genre.
