I benched my thorn. Anyone else?
Honestly have grown to hate this weapon since I have benched it. Now it's all about the last word for small maps. And Hopscotch Pilgrim for ranged maps.
Anyone else finally bench the thorn? I hope the nerf kills it personally. Haha.
What's your load outs these days?

Unless you have to, don't use exotic handcannons. Start using pulses. I will be using Red Death when the patch comes out. HC's will be getting a heavy nerf.

I benched my Thorn in the Dark Below days. I mained The Last Word in HoW. Now. I am trying to play with skill and determination and actually trying to have lasting gun fights where i don't feel i'm cheating. My nornal setup today includes The Summoner Auto Rifle And the Queen's Breakers Bow. I also don't use my Jolder's Hammer or Proximity Full Blat Radius Rocket Launchers anymore. I use a middle tier LMG now. The 'MG18 Harm's Way'so I'm not too overpowered. I want them to kill The Last Word and Thorn. I love them dearly...a little too much, i have a longing to part ways with them and remember them in a state of nostalgia. The guns I love, are the guns i hate. -

1 ReplyI used mine and had fun with it. Ive done equally well with things like mida pilgrim nl shadow last word. Prolly use it a little after the patch to see the diff but put it back on the bench after that

5 RepliesMine was aways benched from the day I got it. I maxed it and stored it pretty quickly. I've had it for quite some time now, but I had Hawkmoon way earlier than Thorn, and personally, Hawkmoon is just more ideal for my tastes. Thorn's ability was appealing, but Hawkmoon just felt better to me. Thorn just couldn't compare to the Hawkmoon for me. Burn or no burn, it was lackluster in comparison.

1 ReplyTo be honest I use mine in the vault of glass at conflux part The op rounds go through targets and if you hit a critical shot on a hobgoblin the damage overtime kills it after the immune So works quite good especially when your the only one left alive on left or right

You. Are. A. -blam!-ing. Idiot. Thorn is still a great gun. In my opinion, it is one of the best guns in the game. People are just -blam!-ing retards. At first, Thorn wasn't a good gun because it was bad for both long range gunfights and CQB, being outmatched by Hawkmoon and Last Word, respectively. Then when they patched it, everybody was about this gun. When HoW came out, everyone used it in Trials. But when Bungie noticed this, they had to crack down on the gun to keep the playing field even. And not just Thorn was affected. A whole bunch of Exotics were toned down because of player abuse, including Hawkmoon, Ice Breaker, Gjallarhorn, etc. The thing people need to realize is that this isn't Halo anymore. If the community is plagued by something, Bungie will create a cure. They won't let something like you; a Thorn in their side, get in the way.

5 RepliesOnce I got my first Messenger (Void) I use it as my main Primary. I love the messenger so much that I have all three burns and a Kinetic one for giggles. I stopped using thorn almost two months ago.
