I also solo'd the nightfall with two characters this week and got some strange coins. Earned that.

Also strange coins drop at the end of nightfalls, funny how no one has mentioned this, so if an exotic drops in a NF it's earned but strange coins earned from a nightfall then used to purchase from Xur= not earned, hmm mm definitely Xur selling gally is what's ruining this game.
