The Didact is not dead, he was transformed into a digital essence. He is "contained" for now, but Brian Reed has said that the Forerunner Saga, Halo 4, and Escalation are the first part of a [i]long[/i] story they have planned for his character.

So jul madams may be trying to free the didact in halo 5 ( well it isn't what your saying completely but it's a theory)
