Do you know who the brute was in the halo wars 2 trailer? Or was it just some random brute?

I originally thought it was a brand new character, but now I've got the feeling that it's the canonical version of Pluton.

The non-canon lore behind Pluton is that he was genetically engineered to specifically combat the Spartans. Seems rather interesting the Brute encountered in the Halo Wars 2 trailer was able to defeat three Spartan-II's equipped with MJOLNIR at the same time.
