A Christian is some one that believes in Christ, Catholics and Mormons believe in Christ that makes those two denominations churches (or branches) of Christianity like orthodox and Protestant branches. And you just can not be only Christian you need to be in a church. The Catholic Church and orthodox were the first churches.
