I think the people saying Jainism are misunderstanding the question. Going out of one's way not to accidentally hurt a bug isn't really peaceful as much as it is gentle.

The only food they eat is vegetables and fruits. Also, they will only eat those if they have NATURALLY fallen off the tree/vine

But 'peaceful' isn't exactly the best word for that.

They're the most fitting for the definition of peaceful, ": quiet and calm : without noise, excitement, etc : not fighting a war: not involving violence or force."
